Abstract

The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the process of developing a positive image of the head of a general secondary education institution as an important factor in effective management of an educational organization under conditions of modern socio-cultural transformations. The image of the head is viewed as a multifaceted phenomenon that combines professional competence, moral and ethical qualities, communication culture, external presentability, and the ability for strategic thinking. It is emphasized that a positive managerial image is not only an element of personal self-expression but also a powerful tool for influencing the motivation, trust, and cohesion of the teaching staff.
The content of the main components of a modern leader’s image is revealed: professionalism and competence, culture of behavior, observance of business etiquette, neat appearance, speech culture, ability to control emotions, and act effectively in stressful situations. Particular attention is paid to communication culture as a means of ensuring harmonious relations within the team and constructive interaction with students, parents, the community, and local authorities. The role of the leader’s public activity – participation in professional conferences, forums, educational and civic initiatives – is emphasized as a means of shaping a positive public image and enhancing the reputation of the educational institution.
Special attention is devoted to the phenomenon of digital reputation, which in the modern information environment represents a new dimension of professional image. It is noted that the leader’s presence on social networks, maintaining official school pages, transparency of management processes, and openness in communication contribute to strengthening public trust and increasing the competitiveness of the institution. The importance of forming a team of like-minded people is highlighted, since the leader’s potential is revealed through their ability to inspire, motivate, delegate authority, and create an atmosphere of cooperation.
It is concluded that a positive image of the head is a strategic management resource that ensures effective communication, a high level of trust, increased school prestige, and the achievement of strategic educational goals. Further scientific research should focus on studying the influence of digital communication on the professional image of the head, gender aspects of management style, as well as the relationship between leadership behavior and the level of authority of the head within the teaching staff.
