Requirements for article formatting

1. Article Submission

Articles are submitted to the editorial board only in electronic form as a single file through the journal website by clicking the “SUBMIT” button or by e-mail to: ninaslusarenko@gmail.com.

Only original articles that have not been previously published are accepted for publication. All submitted materials are checked for academic integrity and reviewed by members of the editorial board.

A review by a Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences (printed or scanned version) must be attached to the article.

2. Technical Requirements

  • document format — A4;
  • margins: left — 30 mm, right — 20 mm, top and bottom — 20 mm each;
  • file format — DOC / DOCX (MS Word);
  • font — Times New Roman, 14 pt;
  • line spacing — 1.5;
  • paragraph indentation — 1.25 cm;
  • publication languages — Ukrainian, English;
  • article length — 10–15 pages.

3. Article Structure

  1. UDC — left alignment.
  2. DOI — assigned by the editorial board (left blank upon submission).
  3. Surname and initials of the author(s).
  4. ORCID iD (mandatory).
  5. Article title in Ukrainian.
  6. Abstract and keywords in Ukrainian.
  7. Main text of the article.
  8. Bibliography.
  9. References (APA Style).
  10. Surname and initials of the author(s), ORCID iD, title, abstract and keywords in English.
  11. Date of receipt and date of acceptance for publication (completed by the editorial board).
  12. Reviewer: academic degree, academic title, full name.

4. Title Block

The title block is presented twice: first in Ukrainian and then at the end of the article in English.

The title block includes:

  • UDC (only for the Ukrainian version);
  • DOI (only for the Ukrainian version);
  • Surname and initials of the author(s);
  • ORCID iD in the format: orcid.org/0000-0000-0000-0000;
  • article title — IN CAPITAL LETTERS, centered, bold;
  • abstract;
  • keywords.

5. Abstract Requirements

The abstract must be informative, structured, and contain at least 1800 characters including spaces.

The abstract must include:

  • relevance and purpose of the research;
  • methods or approaches used in the study;
  • main results and conclusions;
  • prospects for further research.

Keywords: 8–10 terms, separated by commas.

The English abstract must be an original academic text, not a literal translation of the Ukrainian abstract.

6. Main Text of the Article

The article must comply with the requirements of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine and include the following structural elements:

  • statement of the problem;
  • analysis of major studies and publications;
  • identification of unresolved aspects of the problem;
  • purpose of the article;
  • presentation of the main research material;
  • conclusions and prospects for further research.

7. References in Text, Tables and Figures

In-text references are indicated in square brackets: [5, p. 27] or [3; 7].

Tables, schemes, figures and diagrams must be author-created and not copied from other publications. If materials created by other authors are used, a reference to the original source is mandatory.

All figures must be numbered, titled, grouped properly and additionally submitted as separate files in JPEG or PNG format with a resolution of at least 300 dpi.

8. Bibliography

The bibliography (at least 5 sources) is placed after the main text of the article under the heading “Bibliography”.

  • formatting must follow DSTU 8302:2015;
  • sources must be arranged alphabetically;
  • automatic numbering should not be used;
  • most sources should be published within the last 5 years;
  • to improve the quality of scientific citations, the DOI of the source must be indicated whenever available.

It is prohibited to cite and include in the bibliography works published in Russian, as well as sources in any language published in Russia or Belarus.

9. References

References are placed after the Bibliography and must be formatted according to APA Style.

  • Cyrillic surnames must be transliterated into Latin script;
  • titles of articles and monographs should be translated or transliterated;
  • after each source, the original language must be indicated: [in Ukrainian];
  • DOI must be included whenever available.

10. Use of Artificial Intelligence

If artificial intelligence (AI) tools are used during manuscript preparation, the author must indicate this in the article text (in the “Methods” section or in the final note).

AI tools cannot be listed as article authors. The authors bear full responsibility for the content, accuracy and reliability of the submitted materials.

11. Additional Submission Materials

  1. article text (DOC or DOCX);
  2. review by a Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences (PDF or scanned copy);
  3. author information in Ukrainian and English;
  4. graphic files (JPEG / PNG), if applicable.

ISSUES IN FORMING THE NATIONAL IDENTITY
OF THE YOUNGER GENERATION

The article elucidates the process of forming the national identity of youth in the context of current social challenges. The author emphasizes that national identity is considered a dynamic sociocultural structure based on conscious value choice and an important component of personality development.

The article analyzes scholarly approaches to the formation of the civic position of the younger generation. The role of an educational institution as a space for value development, social responsibility and critical thinking is revealed.

Key words: national identity, Ukrainian nation, national security, younger generation, patriotic education, educational environment, state policy, volunteering, internalization of values, mental resilience.
