THE EXPERIENCE OF USING DIGITAL TOOLS IN A HIGHER MILITARY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION
Abstract
The article considers the use of digital tools through the prism of the peculiarities of organizing the educational process in higher military educational institutions and presents the authors' experience in using these tools during the preparation and conduct of training sessions with cadets of various specialties, taking into account the possibility of public presentation of information. The possibility of using various services, platforms, virtual laboratories, interactive quizzes, questionnaires, etc. in the professional training of future officers is analyzed. The features of using these tools are emphasized in view of the specifics of the educational process in higher military educational institutions: a variable number of hours for studying disciplines during the week, interruptions of the educational process due to unplanned business trips of future officers or events in which students are involved, the constant absence of some personnel from classes due to service, constant changes in the location of locations, etc. The results of a survey of the cadet community on the use of digital tools in the educational process are presented, which confirmed the need of stakeholders for expanded fields of application of these tools for professional training of military personnel. The personal experience of the authors has shown that game simulators, the Moodle distance learning platform, and feedback tools have proven to be effective. New specialized software for planning, calculation, and orientation on the terrain is being actively implemented. Further research will be aimed at identifying and ranking digital tools, and it is planned to prepare methodological materials and instructions on the use of these digital tools for both students and colleagues - scientific and pedagogical workers.
