TRAINING IN ISSUES OF MILITARY DANGERS IN BASIC SECONDARY EDUCATION
Abstract
The article presents the results of the analysis of the content and scope of the topic on military dangers in the social and health care education field. The issue of military hazards, their prevention, mitigation, overcoming and elimination of consequences is included in the program of the subject "Basics of Health" and in the model programs of the integrated course "Health, Safety and Welfare" which replace the subject "Basics of Health" as part of the implementation of the "New Ukrainian school". The article presents a comparative quantitative and qualitative analysis of the recommended topics related to war hazards in the program of the subject "Basics of Health" (2022) and model programs of the integrated course "Health, Safety and Welfare" for grades 5-6 and grades 7-9. Seven model programs were analyzed. The results of the analysis allow us to draw a conclusion about the need for a systematic, comprehensive approach to the study of military dangers, the implementation of a minimum volume of topics that would be agreed upon, including all interested structures, in particular, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Ministry of Health, the State Emergency Service. Such an approach will facilitate the development of concrete steps for managing training for military hazards.
It is outlined that future research will focus on analyzing new trends in the secondary education system that are, in one way or another, related to risks, including military hazards. An important part of that future research will involve the analysis of textbooks and other educational materials in terms of the scope and content of topics related to military dangers. A critical issue is the actual amount of time required to develop competencies associated with military hazards — their prevention, mitigation, overcoming and elimination. Mastering these topics in war time conditions is of vital importance for participants in the educational process and for all residents of Ukraine.
