TRANSFORMING THE EDUCATIONAL POTENTIAL OF MUSEUMS THROUGH DIGITALISATION AND MODELLING
Abstract
The proposed study addresses current issues related to the preservation and presentation of cultural heritage in the context of globalisation and technological development. Museums play a crucial role in safeguarding both tangible and intangible heritage, as well as adapting this heritage for new generations. The modelling and digitalisation of educational potential is a key meta-function of the museum, allowing it to be viewed as a "model of the real world". The relevance of the topic is determined by the need to develop effective methods for presenting cultural objects that take into account changes in social and cultural-educational contexts, as well as new museological requirements, including interactive and multimedia approaches. The aim of the study is to examine the processes of digitalisation implemented in museum activities, with a particular focus on preserving intangible cultural heritage. The novelty of the work lies in introducing concepts that characterise museum communication as a dynamic process, where museum objects are elements of complex communication models, forming new meanings and interactions.
The article outlines the main characteristics of the digitalisation of the educational potential of museums, such as documentation, thesaurisation, and communication, which ensure the preservation of cultural-educational phenomena and their adaptation to modern conditions. Particular attention is paid to the interaction between the authentic system of the object and its new digital context within the museum. The study emphasises that the processes of modelling and digitalisation are an integral part of humanistic knowledge and play a key role in preserving and transmitting cultural-educational heritage to future generations.
