Abstract

The article is devoted to the presentation of theoretical and practical aspects of teacher training of preschool education institutions for the implementation of socio-emotional development and learning in the system of postgraduate education. A theoretical analysis of aspects of socio-emotional development has been carried out through the prism of the Basic component of preschool education as a state standard of preschool education and in the context of cooperation with international scientific institutions that take care of the mentioned issues in the course of their activities. The relevance of the problem of developing socio-emotional skills in preschool children in the development of life competence in various types of activities has been carried out. The features of strengthening and maintaining psychosocial well-being in preschool children, which is a priority for teachers of preschool education institutions in times of war, have been clarified.
The article describes the characteristics of special courses and modules on the introduction of game and activity-based teaching methods, which are included in the educational programmes of advanced training of postgraduate pedagogical education institutions, such as "Play Pedagogy in Preschool Education Institutions", "Well-being of Children and Teachers: Effective Tools and Practices of Psychosocial Support", and are also components of the holistic ecosystem training of teachers of preschool education institutions in the conditions of modern challenges. The article considers the role of play in the development of socio-emotional skills of preschool children, the development of a psychologically safe educational environment and the involvement of parents in children’s socio-emotional development, as well as supporting children’s well-being in extraordinary living conditions, in particular in war.
The prospects for further scientific research are to study the practical use of materials of Peppy Pals Programme for Social-Emotional Development and Learning of Children in the process of interaction with preschool children by teachers of preschool education institutions.
