THE ROLE OF POSITIVE PEDAGOGY IN THE TEACHER TRAINING SYSTEM
Abstract
The article analyzes the main concepts, ideas, and benefits of implementing positive pedagogy in the educational system. The author emphasizes that this modern pedagogical approach to education and upbringing is not just a new fashion, but an effective tool that focuses on the child's strengths, interests and potential.
Positive pedagogy encourages open dialogue, active listening, and empathy, fostering a sense of belonging and importance in students, encouraging them to freely express their thoughts and opinions. Such a friendly atmosphere leads not only to effective learning, but also improves the social and emotional development of the student's personality.
Unlike traditional methods, which often focus on mistakes and shortcomings, positive pedagogy aims to create a positive learning environment that promotes self-esteem, motivation, and creativity in students. At the same time, the absence of teacher criticism promotes trust, respect, and interpersonal cooperation, encourages students to better assess their own development, and encourages them to explore different perspectives without destroying their personal emotional balance.
It is important that the training of Ukrainian teachers of the 21st century be based on the ideas of positive pedagogy, which is currently being actively implemented around the world. The requirements of the principle of relying on the positive in education are quite simple: teachers should identify the positive in a young person, which will help develop other qualities that need to be improved. By practicing such teaching experience, teachers will contribute to the quality development of an inclusive learning environment, unleashing the creative potential of each student and at the same time paving their way to a brighter future in a multicultural society.
It is concluded that the principles of positive pedagogy in the context of modernization of Ukrainian education are one of the promising areas for optimizing the educational process with a focus on democratizing the relationship between teacher and student.
