Abstract

The article discusses the preparation of commanders for reconnaissance units in the context of the war in Ukraine, which has led to changes in combat tactics, the use of modern technologies, and weaponry. The authors emphasize that in the new conditions of hybrid warfare, the development of research skills in future reconnaissance commanders becomes crucial through problem-based learning. This approach facilitates better information assimilation, critical thinking, and the formation of integrated competence.

Based on theoretical and practical studies, it is established that problem-based learning involves creating situations that stimulate cognitive activity in learners. Key aspects of the problem-based approach to preparing future reconnaissance commanders in higher military educational institutions include assessing the knowledge level of learners, designing situational tasks, and determining when and where to apply such scenarios.

The authors highlight that creating situational tasks requires detailed planning and preparation, including initial knowledge assessments for future commanders, meticulous lesson planning, and continuous guidance from instructors. Another important aspect is the timing and context of applying these tasks, which necessitates appropriate training for educators.

The primary focus of the authors is on presenting situational tasks proposed for use in the training of future reconnaissance commanders in higher military educational institutions. These tasks help develop critical thinking skills and decision-making abilities in complex situations.

In summary, enhancing the preparation of future reconnaissance commanders through an updated concept of problem-based learning holds promise, as it fosters the development of analytical skills and decision-making in uncertain conditions.
