USE OF CASE TECHNOLOGIES IN THE TRAINING OF FUTURE OFFICERS FOR THE COMBAT APPLICATION OF UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES
Abstract
The article raises the issue of training future officers for the combat use of unmanned aerial vehicles, the use of which is determined not only by combat operations on the territory of the country, but also by the development of modern technologies to support combat operations and the fulfillment of assigned combat tasks for the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Emphasis is placed on the need to use innovative teaching methods in the educational process that activate cognitive activity, develop creativity, initiative and responsibility of students.
The effectiveness of the use of the case method in the educational process as an innovative teaching method for use during practical classes on the discipline "Combat use of unmanned aerial vehicles" has been investigated and theoretically substantiated. This method allows to reveal the potential of future officers, to develop their critical thinking, ingenuity, analytical abilities and ability to work in a team. Solving cases allows you to bring the practical training as close as possible to combat conditions, find new solutions, analyse the mistakes made, and save time for making future commanders' decisions regarding the use of unmanned aerial vehicles.
Cases of varying degrees of complexity are presented, which can be used during practical classes in order to gain experience in solving the tasks set before the unit regarding the use of unmanned aerial vehicles. In particular, as an "easy case" it is proposed to organize and shoot an educational video of a military nature. A case of medium complexity requires knowledge of various types of unmanned aerial vehicles, as a given task it is proposed to search for a group of people with whom contact has been lost in a mountainous area. The preparation for the offensive actions of the adjacent unit presents a case of high level of complexity, which requires specific military knowledge from various disciplines. In addition, the stages of using cases for future officers of a higher military educational institution are proposed.
