Actualities of museum pedagogy in the educational process of a modern preschool institution
Abstract
The article reveals the role of Museum pedagogy in the educational process of preschool education institutions. In this article is given the meaning of the concept «museum pedagogy». The main principles and tasks of museum pedagogy as an innovative technology are defined. This article reveals the purpose of using museum pedagogy in preschool. Museum pedagogy is considered as an important factor in the cognitive, aesthetic, mental and creative development of children, one of the forms of socialization of the child, which occurs by attracting it to the historical and cultural heritage of society. It is pointed out that the museum environment of a preschool education institution, as a means of learning the world, contains a huge potential for personal development of preschoolers, it expands the «habitat» of the child, is a place of its intellectual development and recreation. Using the means of museum pedagogy makes it possible to awaken in children a sense of belonging to their family, to their native land, the desire to join the culture of the Ukrainian people, its history, traditions, enrich impressions of new, unfamiliar objects that they have never seen and could not see in the activities available to them, contributes to the formation of a creative personality. This article highlights the specifics of mini-museums which are operating in the kindergarten, their tasks and content, as well as the technology of creating mini-museums by children, parents of children and the pedagogical staff of the preschool education institution. Based on the analysis of the source database, the main forms of working with children in mini-museums are outlined: verbal-integrated classes, conversations, discussions, reading works of art, conversations with the use of Ukrainian folklore, studying poems, songs, etc.; visual-demonstration of exhibits, old photos, viewing videos, etc.; practical - theatrical activities, excursions that are conducted by the teacher or the children themselves, experiments, artistic and subject activities, virtual excursions, independent cognitive activities etc.; emotional-creating a »situation of success», playing monologues and dialogues during games-empathy.
This article highlighted pedagogical conditions for the development of creative abilities of preschool children by means of museum pedagogy.
