USE OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES IN FORMATION OF ECONOMIC COMPETENCE OF VOCATIONAL TRAINING TEACHERS
Abstract
The article highlights the results of the study on the use of information and communication technologies in higher education. The text also reveals the content of the information environment in the context of its implementation when forming economic competence with the use of information systems. The author provides a description of information and communication technologies that should be used for the formation of economic competence in teachers of vocational training, namely: information systems, telecommunications networks, multimedia, hypermedia, cloud technology, electronic educational resources, distance learning. Attention is drawn to the importance of the concept of "information support" for the organization of the educational process in higher education institutions.
The example of preparing future vocational training teachers for performing their professional activity shows that professional competencies in the information and communication technologies use both during the educational process and in everyday practice need to be systematized and justified. The author briefly outlines goals (acquisition of computer literacy skills, development of information culture, mastering the basics of professional activity, research work, professional activity simulation, certain initial tasks fulfillment), functions (source of information, technical, operational, diagnostic, monitoring, design, simulation, entertaining functions, object of education), and methodical direction of information and communication technologies application (“monotechnology”, “basic technology”, “penetration technology”). Both personal-impersonal feature (personal presence or indirect participation of the student) and main information and communication technologies characteristics (controllability, flexibility, interactivity, processes automatization, combination with other resources, ability to adjust tasks in the education dynamics) are explained to be of great importance for the organization of educational process with the information and communication technologies use in the higher education institution.
