THE ARCHIVAL SOURCES CLASSIFICATION SCHEME IN THE CONTEXT OF HISTORICAL AND PEDAGOGICAL RESEARCHES OF THE NATIONAL MARITIME EDUCATION SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT AT THE END OF THE XIX – THE BEGINNING OF THE XXІ CENTURY
Abstract
The article is devoted to the features of the classification of the archival sources in historical and pedagogical studies of the Ukrainian maritime education genesis at the end of XIX – the beginning of the XXI century.
The author stated that the expansion of the archival source base on the above issue requires a solution to the problem of its classification. According to the results of studying existing scientific research, it was established that this issue still remains open. It is noted that the classifications of archival sources in modern researches, which related to the development of the maritime industry specialists training system, based mainly on the territorial principle. It is emphasized that the complex approach of solving this issue is provided by the choice of a system of criteria.
According to the results of the study, a comprehensive classification scheme of the archival sources has been developed, revealing the formation and development features of the Ukrainian maritime education system at the end of the XIX – the beginning of XXI century. It takes into account 8 criteria: document fixation form; territorial, chronological criterion; type of ownership; type of fund creator; the rank of the document in the vertical hierarchy; actual value; content.
The author comes to the conclusion that the proposed classification scheme is not universal. It can be modified and supplemented in the context of the aspect of the national marine education system development selected for research. The purpose of further scientific research is adapting this classification scheme to the study of the sources base revealing the genesis of technical and technological training in Ukrainian maritime educational institutions at the end of the XIX – the beginning of the XXI century.
