DEVELOPMENT OF FUTURE TEACHERS’ SOCIAL COMPETENCE THROUGH ENGAGING STUDENTS IN WORK OF THE VOLUNTEER GROUP "EDUCATIONAL HUB"
Abstract
The article presents the impact of volunteer activities on the development of future teachers’ readiness for professional activities. It was found that the process of reforming the higher education system is closely related to the development and implementation of competency based approach to professional training the system of social specialists. As a result of the analysis of literary sources, the results of scientific research and the practice of social work, it was possible to distinguish the contradictions between the needs of society in the training of professionals in the educational sphere who carry out volunteer activities and insufficient attention to this problem in the theory and practice of vocational education, and require the search for new forms of training and development of their professional competencies in extracurricular volunteer activities. The influence of extracurricular volunteer activity on the development of future teachers’ social competence is revealed based on engaging students in work of the volunteer group "Educational Hub". The theoretical foundations of the development of future teachers’ social competences in the conditions of university education are covered by scientific substantiation and characteristics of essence and content in the context of future teachers’ professional training in the conditions of Dragomanov National Pedagogical University (Pedagogical Faculty). The work carried out allows us to state the effectiveness of the system of development of future teachers’ social competence in the conditions of university education, which is confirmed by a comparison of the results of experimental and control groups.
