TRAINING SPECIALISTS IN TOURISM

Abstract

The article deals with the peculiarities of training Ukrainian specialists in tourism. It has been discussed theoretical and methodological bases of Ukrainian tourism. It has been highlighted main forms, directions and functions. The educational purpose is to study the competences for providing professional activity in the tourism sphere. The meaningful content of educational components corresponds to the specialty 242 Tourism. General tourism questions are considered during the study of professional subjects.
Peculiarities of tourist travels and forms of tourism are determined. In particular, there are such forms of tourism as inbound tourism, outbound, international, domestic tourism. The purposes of travel and categories of tourism are defined, such as: children, teenagers, adults, and elderly people. It is emphasized that tourism is a multifunctional phenomenon, which led to the emergence of tourism as a scientific field for tourism research. A number of functions of tourism are also revealed. It is emphasized that the therapeutic aspect of the tourism health function is to provide appropriate medical care to a person in order to treat his/her diseases using the necessary medical resources and highly qualified specialists. The development of the social sphere depends on the quality of tourist services, which affects the level and quality of life of the population of any country.
The political function of tourism is highlighted, which is aimed at establishing neighborly ties between different regions, peoples, countries, which is the most important condition for the successful development of tourism.
Participation in a trip abroad and acquaintance with other countries often contributes to the education of true patriotism, love for the Motherland, and a sense of need for their own, national, familiar from childhood life and environment.
The ecological function of tourism is revealed, which is connected with the tourism peculiarities as a sphere of activity. It is also noted that tourism contributes to the implementation of environmental programs, expanding the network of national nature parks, nature reserves, which are part of many organized trips.
