Group session for future officers of supply of troops (forces) in the higher military educational institutions’ educational environment

Abstract

The article considers the urgent issue of modernizing the future officers’ training in the direction of giving cadets greater independence of thinking, creativity, finding non-trivial solutions, because during hostilities the commander makes decisions based solely on his own intuition. The authors attribute the provision of such changes to changes in the educational environment of a higher military educational institution.
The result of the theoretical study was the formulation of the definition of "educational environment of higher military institution", by which the authors understand the system formation, correlated with a united information-educational space, the system-forming factor of which is a predetermined goal ‒ training a quality military specialist (specific specialty), the kernel – created conditions for influencing the formation of the future officer’s personality (specific specialty), which are implemented on the basis of smart innovations; provides the needs of "customer" and "consumer" of educational services of higher military institution, providing creative freedom to those who provide these services; produces educational and scientific-methodical content.
The article emphasizes that the educational environment of a military university should be innovative and informative, taking into account the peculiarities of the organization of the educational process in a higher military educational institution. One of such features is the holding of group session for future officers, in particular, cadets of the specialty "Provision of troops (forces)". The purpose of group classes is to practice the basic skills that ensure the formation of competencies defined by the professional standard. Emphasis is also presented on the optimal duration of the group session, venues, education’ methods, using of visual aids, which ensures its effectiveness.
