PEDAGOGICAL STRATEGIES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A RESPONSIBLE PERSONALITY
Abstract
The article is dedicated to the pedagogical strategy of forming a responsible personality, where responsibility is considered an integral quality that manifests in the awareness of the consequences of one’s decisions, adherence to moral and social norms, and readiness for self-development and cooperation. The essence of the concept of “responsibility” is clarified, and its multi-component structure, which is shaped under the influence of social norms, experience, and upbringing, is defined.
Particular attention is given to early school age as a critical period in the formation of a child’s personality. It is substantiated that the effective development of responsibility in the educational process requires the implementation of a learner-centered approach that takes into account individual characteristics, fosters independence, internal motivation, and accountability for one’s learning.
The role of interactive learning in developing a responsible personality is outlined, particularly through stimulating critical thinking, creating learning situations, and integrating educational standards as a means of development. The importance of collaborative activities, idea exchange, and argumentation of one’s opinion in shaping a socially responsible and active personality is emphasized.
It is noted that the formation of responsibility requires a comprehensive approach that combines traditional and innovative pedagogical methods. Under martial law and forced distance learning, this quality becomes especially significant, as students must organize their learning process independently, while teachers need to adapt the educational process to new realities. The use of modern technologies and adaptive methodologies not only ensures effective learning but also promotes the development of responsibility, independence, and critical thinking—key competencies for the future generation.
It is concluded that pedagogical strategies for fostering responsibility contribute to the upbringing of conscious, active, and socially responsible citizens capable of making independent decisions and engaging in productive interactions within society.
