DEVELOPMENT OF THE CABINET TEACHING SYSTEM IN THE SCHOOL NATURAL EDUCATIONAL SPHERE OF UKRAINE IN 1959-2022

Abstract

The article presents the historical periods of the development of the cabinet system of natural subjects from the beginning of their creation in 1959 to 2020. It describes changes in the provision of classrooms with equipment, as well as how this influenced changes in the methodology of teaching natural sciences.
The system of offices of natural subjects is a whole scientific center where students develop analytical and research skills, studying the regularities of the respective subjects both individually and of nature. For students to be able to fully master knowledge and conduct experiments, the classroom must be equipped in accordance with modern standards approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and be with an adjacent room (laboratory) for storing equipment for performing practical tasks and visual materials and technical support. A well-equipped classroom not only helps to improve learning outcomes, but also contributes to the development of students’ interest in the subject, broadening their horizons and preparing for future scientific or research activities.
A similar process is now taking place in military training centers. There are no complaints about training centers where experienced instructors with full material and technical support perform their duties, because only in this case the mobilized person receives basic experience in using weapons and soft skills, teamwork skills necessary for survival in battle.
Attention is drawn to the fact that in Ukraine since 2020, the implementation of STEM methods for the implementation of research projects has begun, the importance of combining home and laboratory experiments with virtual experiments in cases where it is not possible to conduct an experiment.
Conclusions are drawn that the experience of the past deserves attention, detailed study and evaluation for the revival of the full-fledged functioning of the classroom system of educational institutions in accordance with the requirements of the present.
