Abstract

The article presents a comparative analysis of regulatory and legal documents that contributed to the restoration of education and extracurricular physical education of adolescents in particular, after military operations on the territory of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic in the period from 1946 to 1948.
The main regulatory and legal documents that determined the course of restoration of the system of extracurricular education, and physical education in particular, in the period from 1946 to 1948 were resolutions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (Bolsheviks), the Orders of the Ministry of Education of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, the Committee of Physical Culture and Sports under the Council of Ministers, as well as directives and orders of other departments.
The problems that the system of extracurricular education faced in the post-war years have been revealed. They were an acute shortage of qualified personnel, the problem of material and technical support and sports equipment, the understaffing of sports groups and physical education clubs with students, a low level of sports selection, inadequate control over the activities of sports schools, and weak popularization of some sports.
Authors present data on the network of extracurricular institutions of the Ministry of Education of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic - sports schools - for 1947, highlight the plan for the development of a network of playgrounds for games, sports camps in Ukraine during the period under study, and also analyze the content of the resolutions "On measures to improve extracurricular work with children", "On the state of physical education and sports and mass work in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic", "On improving the work of the pioneer organization".
Among the promising areas of further research, special attention should be paid to the analysis of the restoration of school physical education among adolescents in the post-war period, as well as a retrospective review of the forms, means and methods of physical education of adolescents in the period from the 20th century to the beginning of the 21st century, which will contribute to the improvement of pedagogical education in general, and physical education of youth in particular.
