Abstract

The article is dedicated to educational support for children in wartime conditions, emphasizing its critical role in ensuring their psychological and intellectual development. The concepts of "child", "children’s rights", and "adolescent" are clarified. The system of standards forming the legal framework for protecting children’s rights during martial law is analyzed.
It is emphasized that armed conflicts have a destructive impact on children’s rights, especially in the context of education. These conflicts create physical, emotional, and social barriers that significantly limit children’s access to learning.
The key factors contributing to educational losses during martial law are identified, including lack of access to educational services due to security issues, destruction of educational infrastructure, forced displacement of participants in the educational process, and the absence of technical means for remote learning.
A range of factors for compensating educational losses through local government funding is explored. A mechanism for mitigating these losses is established by combining the efforts of general secondary education institutions and the communities in which they are located.
The article analyzes how the educational process and pedagogy in wartime can preserve access to knowledge and support children’s emotional well-being. It is noted that when organizing remote learning in educational institutions, it is advisable to use both synchronous and asynchronous teaching methods. Emotional support for students is highlighted as a crucial aspect of the educational process, particularly during wartime.
The conclusion is drawn that successful educational support for children is achievable through the implementation of innovative teaching methods, the provision of psychological assistance, and ensuring equal access to knowledge. Schools, teachers, and communities must collaborate to create an environment that helps children not only learn but also feel safe.
