EMOTIONAL MANAGEMENT AND RESILIENCE AS TOOLS FOR CREATING A PSYCHOLOGICALLY COMFORTABLE EDUCATIONAL SPACE

Abstract

The article substantiates the relevance of resilience and emotional management as tools of psychological stability of a modern teacher. The differences between these concepts and their common properties are described; the new roles of the modern teacher and the need for new competencies are defined; the phenomenon of resilience and emotional management has been analysed in the context of the impact on the teacher’s psychological state and his social adaptive capabilities; scientific works have been analysed, and covered the issue of resilience; the importance of this as a component of the professional skill of a modern teacher in the context of building an emotionally comfortable educational environment is investigated. It is determined that the resilience and regulation of emotions in the development of the stability of the personality of a pedagogical worker is an important part of his professional competence. It has been proven that the formation of a teacher’s stress resistance will help him overcome the negative consequences of stressful situations, protect himself from disintegration and various disorders, create a basis for internal harmony, and high efficiency, determine the success of his professional activities and, most importantly – maintain health.
It has been proven that resilience and the ability to manage one’s emotions depend on internal and external factors and has important skills of a modern teacher, which ensure high-quality work results, help better adapt to new roles and allow creating an emotionally comfortable educational space. These include effective time planning, the ability to relax, understanding one’s emotions, self-control, positive mood, physical activity, etc.
A set of qualities that modern teacher must possess and be at the same time a coach (one who helps a child achieve a certain goal and accepts a child with all his peculiarities), a facilitator (one, who helps to work effectively in a team), a moderator and an innovator (constantly conduct research) and make new proposals), a tutor (a person who works with a child individually, knowing his educational needs, designs educational activities and organizes feedback to understand the effectiveness of his work) in the child’s educational trajectory.
