Abstract

The article graphically represents the vector directions and trends in the development of music-pedagogical education in modern Chinese pedagogical theory and practice. These include, in particular, the strengthening of internationalisation and regionalisation of education, rethinking the concept of flexible learning, development of non-formal education and education in the regions.
The article aims to outline the main trends in the practice of modern art and pedagogical education in the People’s Republic of China.
The methodological basis of the study is the main provisions of the theory of knowledge about the unity of processes, mutual influences and interdependencies of the phenomena of the surrounding reality in concrete-historical conditions and a complex of interconnected approaches (holistic, synergetic, interdisciplinary, task-based and activity-based) and complementary methods (general-scientific, problem-thematic, content analysis and design), in particular, content analysis, generalisation, study of documentations.
The scientific novelty of the research consists in outlining the vector directions of the existing and further development of art and pedagogical training of specialists in the People’s Republic of China.
It has been concluded that the practical actions of the People’s Republic of China regarding the development of the "One Belt One Road" project and the use of culture and art as factors of "soft power" also activated certain changes, in particular, in approaches to education of art disciplines’ teachers in practice in the country. In particular, the following stable trends are observed: regionalisation, internationalisation, intensification of multiculturalism processes in the content of training programs for both teachers who have to teach art disciplines and compulsory education programs, rethinking of the concept of "flexible learning". The mentioned trends will be dominant in the art and pedagogical education of the People’s Republic of China in the near future, as they fully meet the country’s need to modernise its own system on the specified field of education and form a positive image of the country on the international arena, in particular through culture and art
