HISTORICAL ASPECTS OF MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT IN UKRAINE
Abstract
The article reveals the historical aspects of the development of management in Ukraine. Attention is paid to the concept of management, as a way and manner of communicating with people; the art of leadership; the ability to organize the effective work of the management apparatus.
The components of management are also shown, such as: organizational, functional and personal. The stages of management development are defined, in particular the pre-monopoly stage (until 1900); "scientific enterprise management" (from 1900 to 1930 in the USA); "administrative-bureaucratic approach" (from 1900 to 1930 in England, France, Germany); "humane relations movement" (1930-1950 in the USA); modern stage.
The article focuses on certain stages of management development in Ukraine: stage I (1917-1921); stage II (1921-1928); stage III (1929-1945); stage IV (1946-1965); stage V (1965-1975); stage VI (1975-1985); stage VII (from 1985 to the present).
Features of management at the modern stage are revealed. In particular, it is stated that the classical direction in management is being replaced by a new one - individual and informational: the bet is placed on a self-realizing person; the enterprise is considered as a living organism in which people are united by common values; the enterprise, the organization must be constantly updated in order to adapt to external factors.
It is emphasized that modern management is characterized by a change in the content of planning; a comprehensive study of the factors of successful managerial activity; management orientation depending on the results; developed theory and practice of marketing; development of effective decision-making technologies; wide application of economic and mathematical methods and achievements of informatics in management based on personal computers; the development of computer networks and means of communication; active participation of personnel in management.
Attention is paid to the new management paradigm, which consists in organizing effective joint work, in the process of which each person will be able to use his/her potential to the maximum. Therefore, the new management paradigm attaches great importance to the human factor in achieving success.
