Abstract

The article analyses the issue of training pedagogues of preschool education institutions at the beginning of the 21st century to implement the requirements of the updated basic component of preschool education named "Computer Literacy". It is noted that during this period, with the aim of quality organization of the educational process and its diversification, pedagogues actively began to use information and communication technologies during the preparation and conduct of classes.
It is emphasized that from 2021, the requirements for pedagogues of preschool education institutions to possess information and digital competence and the need to develop it in children were reflected in the new edition of the State Standard for Preschool Education. In particular, it is highlighted that within the framework of the formation of the ability of pedagogues to navigate in the information space, educators must now know the basics of media literacy, the ways and rules of using modern media space, the culture of using the Internet, as well as be able to find, critically evaluate, work out the content, accuracy, reliability of information sources and apply them in professional activities. Therefore, at the beginning of the 21st century, organizations and institutions that improve the qualifications of pedagogues of preschool education institutions faced a relevant question.
In order to ensure high-quality mastering of digital technologies by pedagogues, professional development programs should include topics, the study of which will help prepare for the implementation of the Updated Basic Component of Preschool Education named "Computer Literacy".
It is determined that at the beginning of the 21st century, business and role-playing games, simulation games, trainings, project activities, teamwork, etc. became effective forms of working with pedagogues. It is noted that training must necessarily be accompanied by the analysis of practical cases on the topics being studied, as well as practical work with digital devices with mandatory performance of practical tasks.
It is concluded that at the beginning of the 21st century, the development of the information and digital competence of pedagogues of preschool education institutions provides an opportunity to interest children of the modern generation and successfully implement the invariant component of the Updated Basic Component named "Computer Literacy", and the high-quality training of educators of preschool education institutions for the implementation of this component in the conditions of postgraduate education institutions can significantly improve the quality of the educational process in kindergartens.
