CONCEPTUAL AND CATEGORICAL APPARATUS FOR RESEARCHING THE DEVELOPMENT OF MANAGEMENT OF GENERAL SECONDARY EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS
Abstract
The article updates the conceptual-categorical apparatus used by describing the development of management of general secondary education institutions, which requires clarification and specification of the object and subject of research into the mechanism of management of general secondary education institutions, attention is focused on such concepts, terms and categories in the field of pedagogical management as "development", "management", "administration", "educational institution" and "school".
It is determined that in native and foreign science there are a lot of definitions of the concepts of pedagogical management and management activities of an educational institution. The concepts of "management" and "administration" are quite established and developed, while "management of a general secondary education institution" needs to be specified and detailed taking into account the signs and characteristics of the components of the term, "pedagogical management" is equated with "educational management", "general secondary education institution" has a fairly clear definition. However, interpretations of the definitions of these concepts by scientists are different.
The concept of "management" has a general meaning; "management", in turn, emphasizes precisely the effectiveness of management, through the activity of the subject of management (a manager) with the appropriate special education. The above terms are also used both to denote the practice of activity and the disciplines that study these practices. As for the concepts of "management" and "administration", here the difference in subject-to-object relations is followed.
Management of general secondary education institutions is the interaction of the subject of management, that is, the head of the institution (educational manager), with other participants in the educational process and the public, aimed at coordinating and directing efforts, streamlining the educational system and bringing it to a higher quality level.
