THE ROLE OF METHODICAL OFFICES ON A VOLUNTARY BASIS IN THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF TEACHING STAFF OF PRESCHOOL INSTITUTIONS OF UKRAINE IN THE 60S OF THE 20TH CENTURY
Abstract
The article is devoted to highlighting the historical and pedagogical aspect of the peculiarities of the formation and organization of such a new form of professional development of teaching staff of preschool institutions as methodical offices on a voluntary basis.
It has been found in the article that the first attempt to organise a similar methodical office was made in Feodosiia, Crimean region, in 1960. As it became known later, the office was engaged in conducting annual courses for teachers of preschool institutions who didn’t have special education on a voluntary basis. It has been established that the experience of this office was highlighted and recommended for review by the board of the Ministry of Education of the Ukrainian SSR on the pages of the Collection of Orders and Instructions of the Ministry of Education of the Ukrainian SSR in 1964.
The main directions of the work of methodical offices on a voluntary basis of various regions of the Ukrainian SSR, in particular: Crimean, Kherson and Dnipropetrovsk regions, have been examined and characterized.
We have also highlighted the role of such offices in the professional development of teaching staff in the preschool branch of the Kherson region, whose attention was directed not only to conducting advanced training courses, but also to the organization of patronage over district kindergartens regarding the organization of pedagogical education among the population.
The range of issues that were considered at the level of similar methodical offices on a voluntary basis in the Dnipropetrovsk region has been outlined, in particular, course, seminar retraining, familiarization with new pedagogical and methodical literature. It has been determined that the above-mentioned methodical offices worked together with institutes for improving the qualifications of teachers on a voluntary basis. The prospects of the following scientific researches consist in the study of the practical use of the materials of this study in the professional development of teaching staff of preschool education institutions.
