ORGANIZATIONAL AND PEDAGOGICAL CONDITIONS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF MEDIA CULTURE OF FUTURE TEACHERS
Abstract
The article considers the peculiarities of the formation of media culture of future teachers in the process of their professional training. The essence of the key categories of the problem «media education», «media culture» is determined and their content in the legal documents and scientific literature is revealed. Media education is characterized as part of the educational process aimed at forming media culture in society, preparing individuals for safe and effective interaction with the modern media system, including both traditional and modern media, taking into account the development of information and communication technologies. The meaning of the concept of «media culture» is considered in two dimensions: social and personal.
It is established that the teacher must have a high level of media culture and have the ability to interact effectively with modern media, as well as to form appropriate competencies in students, their parents and other participants in the educational process. The purpose, tasks and content of the selective educational component «Fundamentals of Media Culture» in the process of professional training of future teachers are substantiated.
The organizational and pedagogical conditions for the formation of media culture of future educators are highlighted: the introduction of educational components to improve the level of media culture of future teachers; taking into account the results of non-formal / informal education in the context of media education; integration of elements of media education in the content of educational components, professional disciplines; stimulating self-education and self-development throughout life. It is proved that the listed conditions ensure the integrity and systematization of the process of formation of media culture of future teachers, promote the integration of the media educational component in the process of their professional training.
