Abstract

The article considers the ethnocultural potential of Ukrainian family traditions as a valuable dominant of the national education of pupil youth.
It is established that Ukrainian ethnoculture is characterized by a unique historical and cultural practice, which is based on educational customs and traditions that have preserved the authority of the family, motherhood and childhood. The significant educational potential of Ukrainian family ethnopedagogy is determined by the valuable meaning of the family and family upbringing in human life.
That is why the solution of a number of topical educational problems is directly related to the use of Ukrainian family pedagogy, which lays the foundations of ethnoculture in children.
The purpose of the article is to analyze the ethnocultural potential of Ukrainian family traditions as a valuable dominant of the national education of pupil youth.
In this article it is researched that the realization of the family traditions is carried out through a system of rites, rituals, customs, folk etiquette, oral folk art, symbols, traditions and more.
The role and place of family traditions in society and their influence on the upbringing of children are shown.
Exploring the traditional culture of our people, we are convinced that the family is a unique national and cultural environment for the comprehensive development of the child.
It is concluded that the analysis of educational family traditions of Ukrainians and ways of their implementation indicate the huge potential of socio-pedagogical experience of the Ukrainian people in socialization and preparation of youth for family life, the feasibility and effectiveness of its use in the practice of national education of modern youth.
Accordingly, the need to study the origins of folk family traditions of raising children and the formation of marital and family relations will help revive the traditional status of the Ukrainian family, the spiritual and moral consciousness of young people in approaches to marriage, the desire to create full and responsible family relationships.
