DEVELOPMENT OF POSTGRADUATE EDUCATION OF HEADS OF GENERAL SECONDARY EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS OF UKRAINE IN THE 50S – 90S OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY: THE SOURCE BASE OF THE RESEARCH
Abstract
The source base of the research related to development of postgraduate education of heads of general secondary education institutions of Ukraine in the 50s and 90s of the twentieth century has been analyzed in the article. In the course of the research sources have been conditionally divided into certain groups according to their characteristic features.Archival, library and electronic sources of information have been singled out according to the places of document storage. A description of a number of already known, but inaccessible sources has been given. Their analysis has provided an opportunity to clarify and explore political, social, economic and pedagogical preconditions for the development of the system of advanced training of heads of general secondary education institutions in Ukraine (in the 50s and 90s of the twentieth century). Scientific achievements of domestic scientists, who studied the development of postgraduate pedagogical education, including managerial teaching staff, have been analyzed and systematized. An array of normative-legal, scientific, library and literary sources has been considered, thanks to which a holistic picture of transformational changes in the content, means, forms and methods of raising the professional level of school principals in the development of postgraduate education of heads of general secondary education institutions has been formed. It has been found that the source base of the research of the genesis of postgraduate education of heads of general secondary education institutions of Ukraine in the 50s-90s of the twentieth century was legal documents, dissertations and their extended abstracts, monographs, periodicals, collections of conference abstracts, archival and library funds, reference and encyclopedic funds, sources of information from electronic resources, etc.Prospects of further scientific research on the study of pedagogical experience in the organization of postgraduate education of heads of general secondary education institutions and its application in modern educational conditions have been outlined.
