LEADING TRENDS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF MILITARY EDUCATION IN UKRAINE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE XXI CENTURY
Abstract
The article describes the current state of development of the military education system in Ukraine. It is noted that today higher military education is a corporate system for training the military, the main purpose of which is to perform professional tasks in specific conditions. Attention is drawn to the fact that higher military education is provided in specialized higher education institutions and military educational units of higher education institutions.
It is emphasized that in recent years the vector of development of military education of Ukraine is aimed at joining NATO, integration into the EU and bringing the current system to the relevant international standards. In particular, the project "Professional Military Education" is being implemented in Ukraine aimed at improving the system of military education and its legislative base.
The essence and content of the simplified military education system, which is being introduced today in Ukraine, is highlighted. Examples of implementation of the system of leadership courses in higher military institutions of education of the state (Military Institute of Telecommunications and Informatization named after Heroes Krut, National University of Defense of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovsky, Kyiv Institute of the National Guard of Ukraine) are presented.
The leading trends in the development of military education in Ukraine at the beginning of the XXI century are investigated: improvement of the current legislative framework aimed at integrating world standards and building its own military capabilities; transition to a promising system of military education, which involves the termination of correspondence training for state budget funds and the introduction of a system of leadership L-courses to replace existing ones; creation of appropriate conditions for mutual recognition and enrollment of certificates that were obtained in higher military institutions of NATO member states; introduction of advanced methods, means of training, technologies that will contribute to the formation of key competencies of modern military education in the context of world requirements.
