MODELS OF MANAGEMENT DECISION MAKING: FOREIGN EXPERIENCE
Abstract
The article reveals the models of management decision making in the context of foreign experience. The essence of the management decision which is directed on achievement of the objectives, management of collective, distribution of resources, information processing, etc. has been covered. The functions of the management decision have been defined: providing, directing, coordinating, mobilizing, etc. The requirements for management decisions in Ukraine and abroad have been shown, in particular, scientific validity, purposefulness, optimality, timeliness, complexity, etc. The attention is paid to the European technologies and types of management decisions, such as: programmability and non-programmability.
The emphasis is placed on the models of management decision making in national and foreign science. This is a classic model that aims to determine the conditions for decisions; a behavioral model where the decision is made based on the behavior of the object and an irrational model where the decision is made without exploring alternatives.
The definition of the essence of the model from the point of view of foreign scientists, as a reflection in the scheme, the formula of the characteristics of the object under study, as well as in real events and management situations has also been shown. The attention is paid to different models of management decision making in Italy, France, Great Britain, Sweden, the peculiarities of the environment of such decision making, personal qualities of a manager, management styles, standards have been shown.
The value factors related to the socio-cultural environment of international management, which is aimed at the need to adapt to a particular environment and its internal integration, have been analyzed.
It is emphasized that each European model of management has its own peculiarities, as it takes into account certain national values, the uniqueness of national psychology, mentality.
The models of decision making in France have been considered, which are aimed at management style that is a reflection of managerial values, which are partially formed under the influence of education.
It is determined that the English model of management has a great influence on the development of other European models, as well as that British management decisions are aimed at communication skills and pragmatism.
The uniqueness of Swedish policy in making management decisions in the field of retraining of workers has been noted, which allows to reduce the migration of the population related to job search; it is advisable to use the economic cycle, etc. The originality of management decisions in Italy has also been shown.
