PARTNERSHIP INTERACTION OF REPRESENTATIVES OF DIFFERENT GENERATIONS IN THE MODERN EDUCATIONAL SPACE

Abstract

The article considers the features of partnership interaction (coordinated activity) of representative s of different generations in the modern educational space. It is determined that in the modern educational space of Ukraine there is an interaction between the representatives of "baby-boomers" generation, generation X, generation Y and generation Z. The characteristic features of the worldview of the representatives of different generations which influence the relationship establishment between the teachers and the students as well as between the teachers themselves are revealed.
It has been found that modern children and young people differ from teachers regarding the speed of thinking, knowledge acquiring ways and communication skills:"baby-boomers"generation and generation X are "digital immigrants" as they grew up in non-digital, pre-Internet culture, but generation Y and generation Z are "digital aborigines" who know digital culture only.
The optimal ways of partnership interaction with the young generation of the students are considered.It has been found that young people should develop memory, logical thinking through the use of heuristic conversation, brainstorming, etc.; to prevent sensory deprivation, training methods and exercises should be used to help the students express their emotions, develop the ability to sympathize with others and establish communicative relationships with the peers and the older generation; to organize students’ work in pairs and groups to improve their interaction and understanding of each other.
It is determined that the older generation should not only know the peculiarities of the "digital aborigines" behavior, but also be able to respond properly . The administration of educational institutions should create comfortable learning conditions (modern classrooms, Internet access, use of multimedia boards, places for rest), modernize the educational space."Digital immigrants" need to constantly develop their digital literacy, improve media skills and introduce new technologies into the educational process.Also, in order to improve interaction with young people, it is necessary to establish communication with their parents and provide them with information about the peculiarities of modern students.
