ESSENCE AND CONTENT OF THE CONCEPT "CHILDRENS’ MUSICAL EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT"
Abstract
The article discusses the problem of determining the essence of the concept "children’s musical educational development". In particular, it is noted that today musical education of the younger generation (teenagers) in Ukraine is gaining attention and needs improvement, in addition, and in spite of the permanent reform of the educational sector, the terminology needs clarification, in particular the essence of the concept "children’s musical educational development".
The degree of research of the problem is analysed and scientists’ works who developed the problems of transformation and development of musical education have been analysed (S. Horbenko, O. Mykhailychenko, H. Padalka, A. Rastryhina, O. Rostovskyi, T. Tanko, L. Khliebnikova, H. Shevchenko, V. Shulhina and others).
In the context of the researched problems, the interpretation of the concepts "development", "upbringing", "music education" and "children’s music education" is considered.
The current state of primary art education in Ukraine is examined. It is noted that today, in parallel with the introduction of the reform, the New Ukrainian School is simultaneously undergoing transformation in the field of music education, in particular, the reform of primary music educational institutions (which include music schools) at the initiative of the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture in 2017. The legislative framework of functioning of primary art education, in particular the Concept of Modern Art School, which is the main document for today, has been analysed.
It is concluded that the problem of musical education today is quite relevant. The concept "children’s musical education development" is understood as a specific process of continuous quantitative and qualitative changes in the field of transfer and adaptation of musical knowledge, skills and abilities, which are directly aimed at forming musical inclinations, abilities and ideals.
