PREPARATION OF THE FUTURE PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER THROUGH THE DIMENSION OF EDUCATION RHETORIZING

Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of rhetorizing professional training of future primary school teachers - applicants for bachelor's degree, which is relevant not only in theoretical but also in practical terms. Thus, about 46% of graduates of higher pedagogical institutions do not have enough rhetorical culture, fear the audience, and have difficulty in preparing and delivering a public speech, and so on. The new paradigm of higher pedagogical education aims to strengthen the practical training of future primary school teachers. This includes knowledge in the field of rhetorical training, the ability to conduct a constructive dialogue, debate, conversation, make a public speech, expressing their own views on a particular pedagogical or social problem, and so on.

Based on the results of the analysis of the curricula for the bachelor's degree in the field of knowledge 01Education / Pedagogy in the specialty 013 “Primary Education'” of several higher education institutions in Ukraine, a number of conclusions was made. Curricula do not sufficiently serve the formation of the rhetorical personality of the future primary school teacher, as this is aimed only at a limited number of subjects from the block of professional training (subjects of the student's choice).

Disciplines provided by the curriculum of the specialty “Primary Education” have an insufficient arsenal of content, forms and methods of rhetorical skills. The authors emphasize that the courses “Fundamentals of Culture and Speech Techniques”, “Expressive Reading in Primary School”, “Fundamentals of Communicative Activity of Future Primary School Teachers” and some others play an important role in the rhetorical training of future teachers. However, these are subjects of the student's choice. Therefore, it is necessary to rhetorize the professional training of bachelor's degree students, in particular in the compulsory subjects, as well as clarification and adjustment required courses “Fundamentals of Culture and Speech Techniques”, “Ukrainian language for professional purposes”, “Modern Ukrainian language with a workshop”, “Children's literature and methods of teaching literary reading” and some others. It is necessary to intensify the educational and rhetorical activities of students, to expand practical training, to organize effective forms of independent work of students, etc. An important factor in the rhetorizing preparation of bachelor's degree students can be the course “Fundamentals of Rhetoric and Eloquence”, the purpose of which is to form the rhetorical personality of the future primary school teacher.
