Psychological and pedagogical aspects of perceptions of teenagers of modern Ukrainian literature
Abstract
The article deals with teenagers’ psychological features which influence on the formation of individual’s cognitive and emotional needs. On the basis of the analysis of modern scientific works are identified the main characteristics of teenagers which are relevant for the pedagogical guidance of the cognitive process, including the perception of the artwork. Adolescence is considered as productive and intensive for personal development; its neoplasm is highlighted the development of which is influenced in particular by reading fiction. In the structure of adolescence, younger and older adolescents are identified. They are also different in the field of perceptions of literary works and meeting of reading needs. The peculiarities of the perception of artistic works in young and older adolescence are described. The differences in interest in the works of different types of artistic creativity are pointed out. It is noted that the question of how adequately adolescents can perceive a work of art is problematic, because, due to their age characteristics, they can only partially understand its aesthetic dimensions. More important to them are its cognitive and emotional potentials. And the cognitive interests of teenagers in the process of reading artworks are focusing not only on knowledge of the surrounding reality but also on the psychological aspects of knowledge about human characters and relationships, the problems that disturb them. The effective technologies for the study of artworks were named by pupils of secondary school age. The tendencies of the development of modern Ukrainian literature for children’s and youth are described at the problematic and thematic level. It is noted that it is possible to continue the research initiated by developing models of study artworks for children.
