STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS AND CRITERIA OF EFFECTIVENESS OF FUTURE NAVAL OFFICERS’ GRADUAL TRAINING

Abstract

The article states that there are some demands on an individual, which have a level structure directed "vertically" to determine the level of educational and personal achievements of cadets, "horizontally" – specific activities of future officers, within which it is necessary to achieve a level of professional training, defined by state standards, departmental documents, etc. The main indicators of the effectiveness of cadets' training are such essential features as diagnostics, reliability, complexity.
The purpose of the article is to identify the structural components and criteria for the gradual training of future naval officers at institutions of higher military education of Ukraine. The research methodology provides a set of approaches (activity, competence, structural) and complementary methods (content analysis, generalization, idealization, modeling). The identification of criteria that allow determining the future naval officers’ gradual training model effectiveness at institutions of higher education comprises the scientific novelty.
The set of criteria includes professional leadership; military-professional; motivational; communicative; informative criteria. Their expressiveness at the bachelor's and master's level is outlined.
It is concluded that the suggested criteria are of integrated character, most of them can be used at different levels of education by different assessment subjects as a tool for analyzing the educational process as a set of parameters that determine the goals of gradual training of future naval officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at institutions of higher education of Ukraine. The identified criteria make it possible to determine the levels of future naval officers’ professional competence at institutions of higher education of Ukraine at different levels of education and on this base form an idea about the effectiveness of the suggested model of gradual training of future naval officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at native institutions of higher education.
