Features of the study of the formation of value attitude to the professional activity of future psychologists in the process of professional training
Abstract
The article specifies the psychological and pedagogical aspects of the problem of the value attitude of future psychologists to professional activity. The process of revaluation of values, critical comprehension of the experience of previous research, new ideas about the professional future of students are analyzed. Theoretical analysis of the meaningful life orientations of a practical psychologist is presented, which is a holistic system of conscious and selective connections, the presence of life goals, conscious awareness of choice and evaluation, life satisfaction and professional self-realization.
It was found that professionally significant value orientations do not remain unchanged during the professional activity of psychologists. The most important, regardless of length of service, among the professionally important values are "education" and "responsibility", and the least - "tolerance for the views and opinions of others", "rationalism" and "sensitivity". Psychological and pedagogical aspects of the problem of the value attitude of future psychologists to professional activity are positioned. On the basis of the basic diagnostic construct "Value orientations" (M. Rokich) the orientation of the personality which is understood as significance for the person of these or those life purposes and value orientations by which it is guided in the life is considered. Two classes of values are characterized: values-goals (terminal), defined by him as a person's belief that the ultimate goal of individual existence is worth striving for, and values-means (instrumental), defined as a person's belief that a certain the mode of action or personality trait is predominant in any situation. According to the results of the research it is proved that the terminal professionally significant values of the respondents are more stable than the instrumental ones, they are characterized by less intergroup variability. Differences in the expression of terminal professionally important values in subjects with different work experience are manifested, but not to a large extent. The most important, regardless of length of service, among the professionally important is the value of "interesting work".
