DIGITAL EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES AS A FACTOR IN IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS IN VOCATIONAL AND HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS
Abstract
The article presents a comprehensive theoretical and empirical study of digital educational technologies as a strategic factor in improving the quality of the educational process in vocational and higher education institutions under conditions of societal digital transformation.
Based on an analysis of contemporary scientific approaches, the study clarifies the concept of digital educational technologies, defining them as an integrated system of digital tools, resources, and pedagogical methods that support the organization, modernization, and transformation of the educational process.
The research examines the interrelationship between the concepts of digitalization of education, e-learning, and blended learning, identifying their hierarchical connections and functional roles within the modern educational environment. It is substantiated that digital educational technologies function as a system-forming component of the digital educational environment, ensuring flexibility, adaptability, and responsiveness to the individual educational needs of learners.
The article also presents the results of an empirical study aimed at assessing the level of digital technology implementation, evaluating its impact on educational quality, and identifying the key benefits and challenges associated with its use. The findings demonstrate that digital technologies contribute to greater accessibility of educational resources, individualized learning, increased cognitive engagement, and enhanced learner motivation.
At the same time, several challenges are identified, including technical barriers, information overload, and insufficient digital competence among participants in the educational process.
Based on the findings, the study outlines перспективи for further implementation of digital educational technologies, including the development of comprehensive digital educational environments, expansion of blended and distance learning models, advancement of individualized learning pathways, integration of innovative digital tools such as simulators, adaptive platforms, and artificial intelligence technologies, as well as the strengthening of digital competence and modernization of institutional infrastructure.
The article concludes that digital educational technologies represent a strategic resource for ensuring the flexibility, accessibility, innovativeness, and overall quality of education in response to contemporary societal demands.
